Anti-Human Nature

Things in nature are no longer what we seek
Born to innocence - we begin so weak
We are driven to learn, to walk, to speak
The bright colours of youth darken quickly

Things in nature are no longer what we fight for
We are driven to hunt, to slaughter
We are driven to take arms against one another
Desires turn cold and selfish

Things in nature are no longer how we roll
We are driven to buy, consume, control
Who should pay the highest toll?
Corporations or helpless creatures?

Things in nature are no longer
Exploit, expose, erode
It is a dangerous road

What happened to giving back
What we so often take?

What will become of the newcomers
When our days living have past?
